Thumbs down Carb Solutions Chocolate Shakes

Wow! I'd rather eat dirt than taste that crap again. I bought a 4pack of their chocolate shakes last night. Tried to drink one this morning... about threw up.

Man I love those Atkins Shakes. I travel extensively for my job and I pack them and put them on ice or in the fridge when I get to the hotel. They are my reward for morning and after I work out in the late afternoon.

The only down side is that a 4pack cost $8 (at Harris Teeter Grocery Store using my VIC card), so I'm spending almost $5 a day on shakes...

Oh well, I was spending about double that when I was drinking beer everyday.

Has anyone else had Carb Solutions Shakes? Whataya think?

I like the eas and slimfast has new lo-carb ones now that taste good. Walmart is the cheapest I've found them...they even have a huge set-up with lo-carb stuff. (The blueberry corborite cereal bars are great, but not so the cinnamon ones.) If they taste really bad, try spiking them with a little cream, that should help. If not, splash in some davinci sf syrup. Helen

I actually like them...not as good and rich as Atkins. I guess everyone has their own taste.

I tried the Slim-fast ones. I thought they were awful. They tasted like the Carb Solutions shakes with added fat. (The Carb Control shakes are almost fat free. Even if they tasted good, they wouldn't help control your appetite.)
Yecch. I wouldn't be surprised if the same company who manufacturers Carb Solutions shakes also manufacturers the Slim-Fast shakes.

Atkins RTD is by far my favorite, with EAS Carb Control a distant second.

Some wholesale clubs now carry Atkins Shakes. My local BJ's had them 12 ~ $20, making them around $1.67 each. Better than $2+, anyways. Trader Joes also typically has 4 ~ $6.99, too.

i know exactly what you mean, i bought the carbsolutions shake mix and it is horrible. The atkins shakes are so much better.. espcially the coffee flavor.

I bought the Atkins shakes and I guess I'm just not used to having something like that. I drank one and it was pretty good, and then forgot about them.. I have 3 of them that have been sitting in the fridge for about 2 months.

The shake mixes are all pretty bad, although the new Atkins "spoon-stirrable" are better than the old formula.

The Ready-To-Drink Shakes are, with the exceptions mentioned above, amazing compared to a powdered mix.

I like the Edge Carb Control shakes... I put it in the freezer for about 15 - 20 minutes to get it just a little frosty and drink it with a staw- yummy. I got them at Trader Joes 4 for $4.99 (saw the same package at Albertson's for $6.99).

Since everyone says that the Atkins shakes are good... I just bought some... but couldn't find the coffee ones - those sound GOOD!

I've tried them but they're not great. I preferred the EAS shakes but now I just buy the Hoods Lo Carb Chocolate Milk. I only buy it on occasion to avoid a stall.

The Atkins shakes are priced way too high. I've never bought them and never will. Nothing should cost that much. It's a crime.
