Exclamation URGENT i am going to have to give up!!

I weighed myself this am and i have put on two pound so now 4 wks in and i am just a pound lighter than when i started!!!
I just don,t see the point i really thought this would work for me as it is sooo different from all the constant low fat constant dieting and severe restrictions on calories i have tried in the past!!!
I cannot tell you how low i feel i originally put my weight on as a bright spark instructor at my gym told me about three years ago that i did,nt eat enough for my training and if i wanted to lose the seven pounds i wanted to lose at the time i would need to eat more and more fat.well i did and put on over two stone to 172 pounds( ihad been 140)and here we are now hardly any different and frankly desperate to be normal!!
anyway someone had suggested i put my weekly food down for you all to see,so here goes i will await your reply but to be honest i can,t see it ever helping me but i soooo wanted it too!!

monday:boiled egg some grated cheese
tuna and mayo
chicken some peanut butter

tuesday:1 poached/1 fried egg grated cheese
tuna mayo bit of peanut butter
chicken,broccoli/cheese
bit of peanut butter

wednesdayeanut butter i egg
prawns 1 teaspoon p/butter
chicken 3oz broccoli

thursday 2 boiled eggs
prawns 3oz pepper grated cheese
chicken.mushrooms fried in butter
bit of cheese

friday:1 boiled egg,i teaspoonof peanut butter
1 poached egg grated cheese
peanut butter jelly and cream

i think that gives you the idea i never have more cheese than you are meant to i did give up peanut butter one week to see if that made any difference but it did,nt i also gave up mayo and cream for a week and that never made any difference. If you see my other q,s and profile i do exercise a lot and i always drink my water so whats a girl to do!!!!
last chance!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Spin!

From looking at your menu I wonder if you are eating enough. It looks like a very little bit to me, have you been counting the calories to see your body is in starvation mode?

I would also encourage you to make sure to get your 3C. of veggies daily at least. That will be very healthy for you and delicious too!

Lastly, have you measured yourself to see if you lost inches but not pounds? Sometimes people lose inches first, followed by pounds.

Ask yourself if you feel any different, any more satisfied with the way you are eating now?

Good luck to you and your low carbing!!

I have to agree with etoiles, you need to make sure you get in enouth calories. You body is mostlikey in starvation mode and holding onto to everything it can get. Try eating atleast 1400 calories for a couple of days and see it that helps get thing going. You can track you calories and fat intake on fitday.com if this helps. Also surprising enought you want to get your fat count to at least 65 % of your daily intake.

you are defianatley not eating enough Try more meats and fish, Im having salads mainly this week with cold meats (which I have cooked Myself) try to stay away from peanut butter unless it dosen't contain sugar, but honestly you have to eat a lot more. when you say a bit of cheese and a bit if peanut butter and a bit of mayo, how much is this exaclty? try measuring, it can make all the difference.

Hope this helps

Hi Spin

You are not eating enough. That is why you are not losing weight. You are putting your body into starvation mode and it does not like it. So this is what you need to do from a fellow Brit.

You need to be eating around 1500 calories a day, so join Fitday.com and find out exactly how much you are eating. It will tell you how much you should be eating each day and please don't eat below the basal level.

You need to eat more carbs. You should be having around 20 g a day. Having none is not good for you. You need healthy veggies, so add them in.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. In this current heatwave it is even more important. Not drinking enough will prevent you losing weight too.

I wish you every success. This way of life does work as you can see from my photos. So hang on in there and it will work for you too.

In 2 months I lost 3 pounds, but went from a size 14 to a size 10. the pounds didn't drop very much until lately. Started at 165 now weigh 152. My goal is 149.50 (want to be under 150 *lol*) Have added quite a bit of carbs, due to very sore leg muscles, (legs fine now) and still losing about a pound a week.
Put on a belt today and it is 3 notches tighter.
DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!!! This is the only diet that worked for me.
By the way my husband has lost 42 pounds on same diet, men lose much faster. Started at 234 now 192.

Unless I'm sadly mistaken, peanut butter and mayo are NOT on the induction list of foods...

Mayo is allowed on induction as long as it's the real stuff, not the "lite" or "low fat" varieties.
Peanut Buter isn't.
