Ok I didn't make to the treadmill today. But did mow the grass and that was 1 hour of fast walking and did sweat most of the time.
Plan to get up early tomorrow and walk the treadmill.

I did go to the gym on Friday (that made 5 days this week). I go out of pure habit now!
I did a bit of cardio and my leg workout . . .

Now I won't go again until Tuesday as it's a holiday here on Monday!

Treadmill done today. But could only do 20 minutes as I was starting to feel my knees, and ankles. But did walk 1.3 miles in that 20 min.

Will do it again on Mon.

WTG Skippie!!! I am proud of you. I cannot walk on a Treadmill for the same reason, my knee. When we get our house I want to get an Elliptical which is way more easy on your joints than a treadmill.

I have always had really bad knees....but I really love to run. I started taking Glucosomine a couple of years ago, and have since run3 1/2 marathons!
It takes about 1-2 months for it to kick in, but I highly recommend it!

Hey Alison, I have been taking Glucosamine w/ Chondrotion for about 2 years now. My problem is I had a Miniscus Tear about 12 years ago and had to undergo Arthroscopic Surgery. I am in the process of seeing another Doc to find out if I have another Tear or if it is just inflammed. I did the 8.25 mile Great Aloha Run back in 2004 and it seemed to be good for a while, but Lately I only have to walk and I am in pain.

Sorry to hear that. I still get pain, just not the extent of before. When I do, I usually switch to the eliptic trainer...

Monday morning checking in.... I have arthritis in my knees and ankles. And as long as I don't get swelling I'm ok with a little pain.

30 minutes done on the treadmill.

Hope you all have a great Monday. See you tomorrow.

Yeah Skippie! Great going. I am thinking of walking the boys to school today (1.5 miles to get there and back). My Knee isn't hurting quite that bad and I want to give it a try. If it ends up hurting too much I will just picke them up this afternoon by car again. Cross your fingers for me.

Susan hope you did ok walking the boys to school.

Got my 30 minutes on the treadmill done. Then I went outside and mowed the grass so that's another 1hr of walking. I might have to cut back on the treadmill on days I mow. I'm feeling a bit sore already.

Yeah Skippie, I ended up not walking at all. I did however do some stretches for my knee and a few pushups and crunches and some lightweight chest and tri's and bi's. I am actually feeling it under my armpits (sore).
I will see the doc today and find out what I can do. I would work thru the pain if it was ok to do so, but sometimes the pain is just too much. Like this morning I got up and went to the bathroom and came back to get some coffee and I was in so much pain that I had to stop in the hallway twice. Not good.
Looks like you are doing great with staying on track.

Susan, I hope you can find some relief for you knee. I'm trying to cut back on my arthritis meds there is so much in the news about them. I'm hoping lossing the weight will help too.
I have to do some errands early today so I'll check back in when I get my treadmill time done.

Hope everyone has a great Hump day.

Just got my treadmill time in only 20 minutes as I'm feeling sore today. But I'm planning on working in the yard yet too. So I'm headed outside now.

Happy Hump Day

WTG Naomi!!
My knee is out of commission for a while (docs orders). I need to take it slow. I am thinking about starting to lift again for a while at least until I am cleared for walking again. I had x-rays done and will get the results next week. MRI was ordered, too but they didn't have an appointment for me before I leave Georgia so that will hve to wait until we get to Colorado.
