hello Joan ~Linds
Glad to see new gals.
I think it helps so much to say hi and how we are doing or not doing.
I know summer is busy time and we talk less and more in fall and winter.But I like to talk all year. ha
Im doing good. Got weight back to 125lbs. I gained 5lbs in last few weeks and now off and back on track.
Seems like I loseand gain 3-5lbsand those are the samewt.
Now if I could lose 5-7lbs by End of this month I would be so happy.
I get weigh in at curves this month. HOPE to lose something. Has been so slow .EVen on inches.
I went to curves yesterday. I go every day. 5 days aweek.
Do u gals get Diane mag. by curves?We get them.
Im also doing the curves diet and have been for LOng while.
I love those curves whey shakes.But Not curves soy.
Im having one of those days where I feel skinny.Do u ever feel that. Just feel lighter and thin.ha
Im trying something. For next 2 weeks until this month is over. I started Yesterday. Using apple cideron salads and taking apple ciderpills. To see if works. it is said to burn fat and up your metabolism curbs sugar and carb.cravings. But as u see imholding on to hope.ha. Hey wouldnt it be great if worked and I had 5lbs off.

I have been going to curves for 1 year and 2 months. I just love it.
But I do have to get back to walking biking and abs. ect. It will help.Just wanted to say hello to all u. and I hope we keep this going to help each other and get more curving gals here.

I have really noticed a change in my energy level. I could hardly walk around the block before, and now I'm practically jogging it. I used to rasp and wheeze when I was walking up the hills at the park, not any longer!

Anyway, some days I can get my heart rate up, some I hover in the 50% zone. Even on those 50% days (like yesterday) I'm getting more benefit than I would be if I'd stayed on the couch.

I tried a few frozen strawberries in my Curves chocolate shake, it was delicious! What do you use to liven up your protein shakes? I love a frozen banana in it, but they aren't on the low-carb plan.

Hi Joan.
Just getting my day going. and in a hour will eat.
I went in to weigh and weigh the same. 125.
I will be so happy to see 120 and I bet Kat and all will be glad to. So i shut up. Ha. But then I will be wanting 115 and so on. till goal.
Joan u should be very happy with what u are doing and u will get to goa and road to better health.
My curves sells>>Phoenix nutritonals . called Metabo pro.{Whey} and also Curves other shakes made with soy. Both by same Doctor whom made curves shakes.and vits.
I love those shakes. I get two. Royal choc. and vanilla.
I use banana once in while. but not much.
In my shakes I use lots of iceand diff. extracts. gocnut banana.
ect. and I just started using davinci sugar free haazelnut syrup and the Vanilla. Very good. No carbs or cals.. Get at walmart by the coffee.Mine are so thick it is a tread more then drink at times. I really like them.25protein too.
Like i have said I need to walk too and ride bike plus curves.
I go to curves later andoff on weekends.
So i take it u are doing curves diet ??I weigh my meats too and write down my carbs and calaries. It helps me know what Im doing.
Will nice to know u are doing so well. Keep it up.
And hello all u gals.
Im older to so I think this is why taking me so long to lose.

I just visited my Curves for the 475th time!! It has taken 5 years, but I miss it if I don't go. Next week will be moving and transferring from Curves in VA to Curves in PA.

Glad you are going to curves and will be moving soon. I bet you will enjoy your new place.
Are you going to do the curves diet too?
I restarted and doing good last couple days after another fall. I swear lose and gain the same 5lbs.
I was hoping when I get a weigh in at end of this month it would be good. BUT my luck Dought it.
I sure would like to see on my scale. 7lbs gone. That would keep me going.
Hope you come here more often . We have to all talk and keep each other going .
Kat. How are you doing last couple days?
Hard to restart in ways when u eat all the good foods that make us fat. ha.
But I must say the salads have been good after I have not had. for few days.
I have read on curves forum that Gary might be changing the eating part.Should be around AUG>1st. any one else heard that yet?

At my regular Curves, they recommend going around 3 times to get the best workout (10 stations), but at some of the Curves I've visited while traveling, they won't let you go around more than 2.5 times. At the one in my hometown (my regular one is close to work), they recommend 2.5 times but I always go around 3 times.

I'm not sure what the "standard" is. Anyone?

At the Curves here in Arizona they will only let you go around twice. We have 10 machines but when we asked they told us that it was against the rules. We can go in the back and use the exercise ball, jump ropes, or weights but only twice around the circuit.

Hello. At my curves we go around 2.5times around.
We have 10 machines.
Any one else doing curves diet???
Have you seen that Gary will be changing diet plan??
No more free shakes Or free foods. We should get more information In Aug.
What are your thoughts about this change? I think good in ways. Maybe will help me start losing. I do love those whey shakes curve sells/
How is every one doing??

I heard about it yesterday. I was told that Lean Cuisine will be added to the plan.

I like the shakes too, especially with frozen banana or berries in it.

I lost 18 lbs on the last 6 week challenge, I'm ready for another but my center will likely wait for the change.

I heard that the Member Guide is being rewritten as well.

We go around 2x at my center, but no one cares if you do more. I think we have 12 machines, we recently added the dip-shrug torture device..lol.

tHAT I s GREAT on your 18lb loss.
Yes member guideis changing too and I bet soon a whole new book.
I wonder why and how it will be done.I dont like the soy shakes so I get whey shakes also sold at my curves. But looks like we will be counting that and not free. Never heard about lean C.
That will be good. They had something in Curves Diane.
Maybe like I have said maybe new diet will be good. Sure need a loss.
I get curves pass and at timesgo to the one I got started in . They have all machines but spepper.
But The one i really go to has 10.

What have you heard at your club about diet?? I wonder if we will do net carbs? I really liked doing curves diet. I was able to eat 4big hab nd fulls lettuce. 2 times a day. with 2T no carb dressing.I sure hope to lose this 3lbs that i put on. did loss 2. But will be so glad to see 125 agin and then 120. I think it will help me alot to see a loss. But I did lose 4 inches.
Does any one here go to Curves forum?? That is great site too.

i see joan you are doing South beach.
How do u like? I have book. if fact all diet books.
Im started a clean diet this week .I was gone for long weekend and ate bad. and i felt it too. was sick. But back on track and doing curves. I started countim ng calaries more closely. and counting curves shakes. which for over 6oz. is 6 carbs and 132 cals.
I can not wait for curves new diet to come out and see what diff. there is and if it will work better for me. or just do my own diet.

I like South Beach, my problem is portion control. I am going to buy food scales and track portions more carefully.

I got my results today, I've had 71 workouts, lost 28 inches, 24.63 body fat pounds. I've still a long way to go.

I'm not getting all 12 visits in each month - have to do something about that. My curves consultant told me to try and get 14 visits in each month.
