Glad to see everyone is doing so good. I have been out of town for a few days so haven't been doing much with checking in. During my trip I was extremely good about eating right, with the exception of one meal in the airport. The only thing I was not able to do is consume all my water. Didn't want to keep running out of the conference room every 15 minutes. We did do a lot of walking so I feel like I got my exercise. Long story, Short! I gained 5lbs. It's that damn vicious cycle all over again. I spend 2-3 weeks losing 4 lbs then over night it's back. Now I'll spend another 2-3 weeks to get back to where I was. As much as I keep telling myself I'm in this for the long haul, I can't help but get extremely frustrated that I'm on this damn rollercoaster and can't get off.
Needless to say after nearly 3 months on near induction, I have loss a net of 2 lbs. I've gotta ask myself, is it really worth it. Granted I don't get the bloated feeling like I used to when I was not watching my intake, I'm about ready to pull the plug and say screw it. It feels like I am in one of those dreams where your running as fast as you can but not moving, or you keep falling. There does not appear to be an end in sight.

Okay enough of my sob story, I hate to bring everyone down because of my misfortune. So, if we are keeping track, I am up 4lbs which now leaves me with 29lbs to go to goal. Just like with everything else, I tend to make this harder than it needs to be.

Good luck everyone,

Ok I haven't been in here for awhile and I think we need a little organization. I have started back at the beginning posts and written down anyone who put down a start weight. Some said they would be in the challenge but didn't list a start weight.

It would be nice if everyone when entering their weight would copy and paste the most current list into their post and then update it. I have listed the names, then start weight, then goal weight (would be 25 pounds less) and then current weight. When you update you can change your current weight when you copy and paste. Sound confusing. Hope not, I will try to keep it going. Any of you who did not list a start weight for challenge, I know you are in challenge, so please add in your name in alphabetical order, then start weight, goal, and current weight. Add in as more people join. Have a great week everyone!

Gee, golflady - you're better than the whoosh fairy! When looking at your list, I see you've shaved 25 pounds off of me! How nice!

Unfortunately, I'm actually only down 9 pounds, so I've corrected me on the list and pasted here, but thanks for almost making my day! ha ha

Thanks Golflady for organizing us. Nancy101 - I think you were supposed to leave the middle number as goal and add a third number for your current weight so I fixed it for you. Hope you don't mind.

Well, duh on me!

I guess I was jumping the gun there. Of course, if I had read the headings.... Sorry 'bout that and thanks for fixing it.

Soon I'll be working on conquering and destroying the 160's!!

Hi and welcome newlcer (Cath) and Si Belle!! This challenge rocks! I'm glad you joined in. I weight daily so whenever I am down I post my updates.

EXLarge, hang in there! Have you ever tried taking a teaspoon of cinnamon daily? I started doing that and I really believe it is helping my weight loss.

Hey, can I start over???? Just kidding, I'll stick to my original goal of Onederland.

Lunashpere, I've got to admit I've never thought about a spoonful of cinammon. At least not unless it is entangled in a nice fluffy pastry with icing. (Sorry) Back to my point. What does cinnamon do for you? Inquiring minds want to know.

So here is the latest to the copy/paste list. By the way golflady, thanks for putting this together.

Hi Chaotixx! Make yourself at home!

EXLarge and newlcer, here is a thread about it. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthre...innamon+hormone

and

here is the article on the USDA site. http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/AR/archi.../cinnam0404.htm

Now it talks about table cinnamon having fat soluble compounds also and not knowing the effects if it could accumulate in the body of large quanties digested over a long period of time. But 1 teaspoon of cinnamon daily just doesn't scare me (but that's just me though - especially since I use to eat cinnabons and french toast all the time!). Anyhow I've been mixing the cinnamon with butter and liquid Splenda (and sometimes a little heavy whipping cream). I've heard of others mixing it in cream cheese or just taking cinnamon pills.

On another low carb forum a lady posted she was in a stall but when she started taking cinnamon, she started losing again.

If anyone wants to try it out for awhile, it definitely won't break your wallet!!

I vaguely remember reading something like this in a magazine a couple of months ago. Reading Lunasphere's comment triggered my memory.

There's a small piece here that explains the cinnamon "thing." Interesting anyway.

Oooo Nancy, thanks for posting that site. I totally forgot about cayenne. That is something I am interested in trying.

Oh, you're welcome, Luna. I've read about cayenne many times, but I don't know - I'm not crazy about it. If you do try it, be sure and report your findings, okay?
