Well, had 2 of the double downs for dinner tonight. They were OK. The cheese and bacon wasn't really that good. I think I can make up something much better on my own. Well, at least now I've tried it and know how they taste. Pretty salty, a bit of pepper, and mush.

Yes! Sometimes that show gets it so right that it scares me.

I had one yesterday, the original recipe version. It was only so-so. I had to wait a good 20 minutes before it was cool enough to eat. Barely tasted the bacon. I had that chemical/preservative sting at the back of my throat for hours after.

I would, however, make one myself. First I would butterfly the breast so it isn't giant at one end and too thin on the other. Bread it with parm/pork rinds, use three slices of bacon, natural pepper jack, and home made thousand island.
