same here. it is crazy. Yep, no walking today. course, I have walked about fifty trip to FIL's house today. Thank God our houses are attatched with a covered breezeway and double carport. He is not doing well. He will be admitted to rehab Monday morning. BIL is still here. He don't want to leave him here. Dh and BIL have gone to drug store to get med and a walker for him. I am sitting with FIL at his house right now.

I havent taken my windchimes down. They are making alot of noise though...I like it! When I woke up this morning, I thought I was in OZ. The wind was howling loudly around the bricks of our house. I had the windows up for a while, but then it got too bad. Everytime the kids would open the doors leaves were blowing in. Some kind of crazy here. It is 1:00 now, it is supposed to get really bad at 3.

Plan on doing pilates later though.

Stacy-I have my measurements from 10-2005. I had gained weight, but I am not sure how much I weighed at the time. I know my measurements are smaller now than then. I am not sure if I measured myself correctly the first time. Could you tell me how you do it? (where exactly do I put the tape?) Once I get it right, I will post my stats on here. I know I have un-grown my bra! (happy about that!)

*Clickin' Red Heels* *There's no place like under the desk*

The sounds just make me want to hide w/ZuZu!

{Sorry to hear about FIL.. }

RE: measurements..

For waist: Measure exactly where pants/jeans start..

I also measure Mid-Drift: Under breasts/above waist..

Thighs: I measure right where it's the worst..

Bootie/Tummy: I wrap it around evenly for tape to meet in middle of tummy right below belly button.

I did get some walking in today with DH and the kids despite all the horribly strong wind. We found a walking trail which was amongst a lot of trees. It was only about 1/2 mile long though. We made two trips around, but eventually the wind became too much and we had to finish up at the mall. DH and I walked around the perimeter of the mall for another 40 minutes while the boys looked at video games. I just barely got my 10,000 steps in today.

All the dust blowing in from the west was creepy. The sky turned brown and there was a blue cast to everything.

Hope everyone is teathered down.

you did great Nicky. How old are your boys if you dont mind me asking. Mine are 9 and 10 and they love hanging out at the video store when we go to the mall. It is right across from bath and body, so I dont mind.

I guess we missed the creepy sky. It was dark out by the time the storm passed over.

ok Stacy, I am going to post my stats. Like I said, I didn't write down my weight with my measurment on Oct 2005, but maybe it will give us a vague starting point. This was before I gained most of my weight back. I was probably around 165-170 ( I know this because I was in my brothers wedding in December.)

Oct 2005 --Feb 24, 2007
------------------------------------------------------------------------
bust- 42 ----40 1/2
waist- 36-- 35
mid drift -36 --34 1/2
booty/tummy -41-- 40
hips -45 --42
thighs -25-- 24

I watched my winsor pilates 'sculping circle - beginner' and it is pretty much like the beginner video I am already doing, it is 30 min instead of 20. I am planning on doing it tonight. It is a little more intense. Maybe a month from now, I will be posting some more inches lost!

Hi Nicky!!

Glad you did get your steps in!

Do y'all go to Town East Mall? Maybe we'll run into each other one day!

It's so neat your in North Texas as well.

There are tons of people that walk at Town East..

***

Kim,

Glad you have updated measurements now!
You'll be excited to see your progress!

Enjoy your new pilates! You' will be posting lots of progress!

I have to have so many things to do it's ridiculous..

It's the only way I don't get bored with exercise and give up.

I'll be doin' all the walkin'/pilates/work-out on my easy shaper/ and I'm gettin' the slim in 6 stuff..

Easy Shaper-

Slim In 6- http://www.beachbody.com/jump.jsp?i...ORY&path=1,2,21

You get all that awesome stuff for a great deal!

Can't get the slim-6 until income tax money gets here though.

how cool is that easy shaper Stacy!

My exercise equipment just went out the door today. we had to make room for FIL. we put it out in the shop for now. Its not like i was using it... .

I am a routine person...the less change the better. i like knowing what i am going to do everyday and have a hard time functioning when something throws it out of wack. that is why i have been so stressed with FIL, its not him, I just cant handle change very well. Guess I probably have some sort of disorder huh? I just dont get board easy. I hope to be doing my pilates for a long time.

have fun with you new stuff, let us know how you like it!

The easy shaper was made by a woman for women.

I love it! It kicks yer bootie though if yer really out of shape.

That's why I have to get the walkin' in/pilates first to get my body ready for it.
I don't want to hurt my spine either so I need to work my way up to it.

*********
I can't stand change either bc I have ADHD and OCD!
Guess I need so much exercise stuff bc of the ADHD?

I'm just a loon..

The OCD is mainly RE: bein' a clean freak and I have ta have everything planned/organized..If something doesn't go just as I planned I start havin' panic attacks..

I can't take meds bc they make me sick so I just lean on the Lord. He is my medication.

I've come a long, long way..

The only time my panic attacks really get me now is with something big like a death in the family, sickness, and so on.

I also cannot be near the hwy!

Last time hubby had to get on it with me I cried until we got off it.
Had a massive attack..
This comes from an accident I was in at 12.
We were on our way home from Church On The Rock going over Lake Ray Hubbard and a man driving a gasoline 18-wheeler fell asleep/crossed over/ and flipped/rolled in front of us.

My dad threw on the brakes and we almost went into the tank.

Dad darted to the other side of hwy bc he feared an explosion and then jumped out to go help the man..I remember screaming bc I thought my dad was gonna die and we were all gonna blow up. A fire started an it was headed to the tank..I was in so much panic.

The fire dept. got there thank gosh.

During all this people were screaming 2 cars were knocked into the lake!

Come to find out 1 of the cars held my best friend and her parents from church. They drowned.

I just freak out on the hwy and it's bc our area has millions of 18-wheelers all the time. I can't be near them.

I know every back road in Texas! LMBO!

Anywho, good grief I'm writing a book here..

Can ya tell my insomnia is full blown tonight?

lol ~ insomnia full blown, writing a book. I can relate. I tend to ramble alot too. I dont mean to, I think it has alot to do with being a SAHM and not really having anyone to talk to for the most part.

My activities today include, daily chores, blowing leaves off of patios, carport. I will do Pilates 30 min tonight. I didn't do them last night. By the time I finished 'watching' the new video and posting on here, I was sleepy and decided to call it a night. I will do better.

Have a blessed day!

honeysgurl,
My boys are 14 and 7. I also have a 15 year old daughter.

Tx_Stacy,
I've never been to Town East Mall. We were at the Golden Triangle Mall yesterday since we live close to Denton. We also frequent Stonebrier quite a bit.

I did my 4.6 mile walk this afternoon and another 3 miles this evening. Wanted to make sure I got it all in before the Academy Awards started. I only had to miss 15 minutes of the Barbara Walter's Special.

Drum roll: I finally reached my step goal!! My steps, so far, for today are 20147. I acrewed 162 aerobic minutes = 18702 steps for today. Great way to end my weekend!

I hope everyone has a great week!

way to go Nicky and Stacy!

I did my 2nd level pilates. It was much like the 1st, only 26 min instead of 20. I am going to watch the advanced (step 3) in a second and see if I think I am ready for that. I may wait a week before trying it.

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me. Big day with FIL also. He is having scan done and should be admitted into rehab. I hate for him to have to go there, but it will give me a bit of a break. Not that I mind what I am doing.

Have to get up early! Nite yall!

Y'all..

There's nothin' wrong with enjoying a break.

I always build up to exercise as well..Just to make sure I don't hurt myself, and so I have the energy to do it..

I'll be tryin' ta walk 2 ml today, and I'll also be doin' 20 mins. pilates.
