Double cream is a good milk substitute in coffee, but I have found that Real Dairy Cream (the squirty one in the gold can) is the best. It is only 0.4g per 100ml and lasts much longer than a tub of cream.

Enjoy!

I use whipping cream in my coffee now, it's just like milk and worth the 3g carbs.
However I like Steve's idea better and if you are the recipiant you don't get any carbs!

Cann't speak for Tony, but l dont think l'm obsessed, l am shy thou.

l blame it all on all those fun loving ladies in this forum, and the extra energy and confidence l've now got from this way of life.

Being single and getting encouragement from young ladies ( mid/late 20's ) doesn't half help the ego and makes me more determined to reach my goal. Much better than being looked at for being 23 1/2 Stones as l was 2 years ago ( now 18 stone ).

Got a fresh pot of cream, now what was l going to do with it ? Are yes time to make some jellies.

Hi
Single cream in eggs and to make quiche/custard, in my decaff coffee: but recently, as I ran out of single, tried ""cutting" double cream with water and using it like single cream and it works.
Double cream: mostly just whip it up with a bit of cocoa powder, vanilla splenda and a little coffee and freeze for an hour so its hard and icy on outsid and squidgy in the middle; and rhubarb fool;
creme fraiche I dollop on salmon, veg (divine with peppers that have been cooked and steeped in olive oil); tomatoes (although I discovered yesterday that Elizabeth David reckons ordinary cream with a little pepper is wonderful with tomatoes so must try that); stews ; over fried mushrooms (delish).... the list goes on its probably easier to say what I don't use it for......
