randi, i'm also christian, 42, and a grandma. and... i'm also from texas! the dfw/metro area. but i live in las vegas now. my daughters are both grown and gone... my oldest is in the Marine Corp, stationed in california. my youngest made me a grandmother before she graduated high school. both are married, at least for the moment. my oldest is going through a divorce.

i've lived in vegas for six years, and actually love it here. (no humidity, no mosquitos, hardly any flies....) found a church that i felt at home in a year and a half ago.

I want to ask my Christian brothers and sisters to pray for me and my family. on the 4th of this month may 2007 my son was killed in an accident on the road...he was not at fault but was on his motorcycle when a semi truck going down a back country road hooked an electric wire someone had put up themselves to provide power across the street. the pole with the wire was not secured in the ground and was propped up with rocks...when the semi hooked the wire hanging across the street, it pulled the pole out of the ground and it hit my 19 year old son as he was driving safely (he thought by taking a back road instead of the interstate he would be safer) back home and killed him. i am in such grief it is beyond anything i have ever experienced.....i am only looking for the rapture now...if anyone has any information on this please let me know.

Well, I will post a prayer request here. My husband Michael is back in the hospital again. This time with the lungs again. I must admit to my shame that after six hospital admissions in three months my eating is out of control.
Michael spent two weeks on a ventilator just before Thanksgiving. The discharged him to a nursing home three days ago and last night he was having trouble breathing and we went back to the ER, and he was put back in the ICU. I am not convinced the doctor's know what to do, but I am convinced that the Lord is able to do all things. Please pray for Michael's healing. Also pray for me to get back on track.

And please consider this, you need to consider your health as much as your husbands. Please, please find another outlet for your stress than food....

I have sad and happy news.

Michael my husband passed away of a heart attack at 3pm on Good Friday.

Michael is in heaven with Jesus his Lord, has no more suffering or pain.
Praise God I know where he is.
