Default Looking for LC Buddies in Colorado

Any LCers in Colorado (I'm in Denver metro area) want to get together to lift, walk, runk, share ideas, laugh/cry about successes and failures, etc.?

I found that I usually try harder when working out with someone else.

I'm moving out to CO asap, waiting on my house to sell (can't wait!) I'm very much into lifting and plan on setting up my a room with a small gym again when I get out there. You work out at a gym or do your own thing at home like I do? My dad was my lifting partner until he broke his foot doing leg extensions and he will never recover. Motivation isn't my issue, but I like having a spotter around since I like to lift heavy and push myself hard. Check out my gym log if you like and see if you wanna hang out when I get there

I think I'm going to wind up in the Colorado Springs/Pueblo West area, but if that's too far for workouts, maybe we can hang out now and then and start a LC group like I used to go to here in Mass. It's fun and helps a great deal.

Yeah, I usually end up lifting lighter than I'm used to with barbells when I don't have a spotter. One of my best friend's in town so we been hitting the gym and doing some heavy barbell lifts. Boy, does that feel good!

Hit me up when you get here. I usually work out at 24 Hour Fitness (I heard some bad stories about 24 Hour Fitness at other states, but ones around here are good) and have VIP membership (unlimited guest). I also can go to the gym at any military post/base and bring guests as well.

By the way, what brings you to Colorado? We had a major snow storm last week and we just got hit again!!! I guess shoveling snow is a good workout...

Nah actually, I am moving to get *away* from the snow. Typically here in Boston, winter starts Sept-Oct. and doesn't end until nearly May. Two to three feet of fithy, dirty snow. Research and talking to people out in CO say that winter is short lived and snow doesn't stick around long in the Springs area. Falls one day and is pretty much melted the next day or so, and that the recent storms are a rare occurance. Denver on the other hand, I hear you're about to get walloped again! Drive safe!

This storm actually didn't turn out to be as bad as the last one. I went out to eat with my friend yesterday and most of the stores were open and we didn't see any stranded cars.

Welcome, SkySamChew! Hopefully, we can get more people interested and do some sort of Colorado gathering.

Hi there! I'm from north of Denver (thornton area) and I work in Broomfield. It's nice to meet fellow colorado LCers.

We may have enough people to give give DarkLotus a warm welcome to CO when she gets here.

Default low carb support in Denver

we have a low carb support group that meets twice a month in denver. the website for my blog is in my profile, and you can link to it from there. It's a Meetup group, you can go to that site at meetup dt com and search denver groups under support, low carb lifestyle meetup. we eat at every meeting and the group is great for getting and staying motivated!

Just found this, and it's been 15 months since the last post.... Where/how can I find you guys? I tried to go to that website at meetup dot dt dot com but it didn't come up as a valid URL.

Greetings from Westminster, we're just barely starting out, here!
