hi-
had a nice evening at home last night. RM: salad with homemade blue cheese dressing (equal amounts sour cream/mayo/blue cheese with a small amount of fresh lemon juice and fresh ground pepper), cauliflower sauteed in olive oil, buckwheat with butter, and 1/2 grilled ribeye steak.DH added egg noodles, beer and ice cream. I was going to pass on the ice cream but had some too.

Tonight's planned RM: salad with the rest of the dressing, 2 thin steaks we grilled yesterday, more buckwheat, and I'm thinking spinach.

hi
Have a meeting tonight and not much time for dinner, so 'm making tuna fish sandwiches and cucumbers.
Tomorrow and Thursday also have meetings. Tomorrow it includes a dessert reception, on Thursday heavy appetizers. So different strategies for each one. Tomorrow I'll have a CM type small dinner then a carb at the reception before the talk. then Thursday I'll see about the appetizers before I plan on going out for a dinner.

Am doing OK Pat, Thanks for asking.

Glad to hear your back on track this past month; hope everything goes well for you.

I've got big fish to fry these days; so I'm taking a step back from
focusing on diet over the coming weeks. Maybe indefinitely at this stage.
Really feel the need to as i think I've reached the point of overall online burnout & it just ain't suiting me no more.
Entirely my own doing of course.

I know how things can be. I will be here (really!) in my journal, if you ever want to "chat".

Thanks ever so much Eno,
Your posts have always been a source of hope and encouragement.

Looking forward to re-posting again with renewed enthusiasm some time in the future once I've loosened the load.

hi-
So Thursday I ended up having 2 small sliders, 4 tiny crab cakes, and then a piece of toast with butter/cream cheese and smoked salmon.
Last night I had a big bowl of homemade cabbage and beef soup with a piece of bread (also homemade) for my carb.
Tonight we're going out with friends and I'm planning on a burger and salad combo for RM.

DH requested a turkey sub sandwich, chips and a salad. So that's the RM for tonight. He will add on ice cream and a beer.

Hi-
Happy Valentines Day.
DH and I don't really go out for many holidays, so tonight we stayed home too.
I made a really nice RM with one of DH's favorites- salmon cakes.
Salmon cakes, salad, coleslaw, horseradish sauce (with yogurt), bread & butter, and for me a square of 70%chocolate. DH had a snickers bar.
Tomorrow we are going to hear music with friends, and I already looked at the menu of the place we are going. I will have a burger with a side salad.
later-
off to watch Olympics!

hi-
another gorgeous day here. Took a long walk in the morning sun.
Tonight's planned RM: salad, grilled eggplant/zucchini/poplano peppers, grilled beef sausages. For carb will have a small piece of french bread (not big enough for the sausage) and one small cookie.

hi-
posting for accountability and to keep this active. It will be 15 years on this plan for me this coming summer. Amazing.
RM for tonight: plan is half a vietnamese ban mi sandwich with extra meat, and chicken soup with lots of veggies.

Tomorrow is leftover beef sausage with salad and pasta for DH. Haven't decided on my carb yet.

I really appreciate your keeping this active and am so impressed with your steadfastness! I've used you and others who've followed CAD/CALP to inspire me.

I've tried CAD and like it a lot, but I couldn't seem to get rid of my cravings and weight loss came to a halt, so I've incorporated a couple of other things (Wheat Belly followed by 3 weeks of very strict low carb, then still low carb but adding back dairy and 1 or 2 high-carb meals per week). I've been doing this now since November. Finally -- FINALLY! -- my cravings for grains and sweets are gone. I use CAD RM guide to keep my high-carb meals managed.

At my age, 73, and with a lifetime of yo-yo dieting, weight loss is very slow (hopefully 1/2 lb per week), but I'm seeing my body get smaller and gradual results on the scale and I'm feeling terrific and sleeping wonderfully. I'm thinking someday CAD will be perfect for maintenance for me.

Thanks again, Eno, and others (Pat!) who've kept this thread alive. You've all helped me tremendously.
