Default Could I be drinking TOO much water

I am waking up and drinking 2 cups of water of water a day which is fine with me as I have to take pills anyways and I am usually parched in the mornings. But then I am forcing myself to drink anywhere between 2 to 4 additional glasses before I eat my first meal (I eat at 2pm and then when I get home at 5:30pm as I have work and cannot eat on the job but can drink lots of water) and then at 2 when I take my lunch I drink a glass before I eat and a glass after I eat which is nice because it tides me over. Usually a glass in between by next meal and at 5:30pm I drink a glass before eating and a glass after eating and later on in the evening.

I am drinking 8-12 glasses a day. The reason I am doing this is in homes to de-bloat myself from my TOM which ended on Friday and honestly I do not think it is working. I am getting bloated and a belly before I even eat and it is frustrating! I tried this method to de-bloat before on one of my previous Low Carb eating attempts and drank a glass before and after both meals and usually 2 additional glasses a day and literally de-bloated in 4 days!! It was crazy but this time around I am still bloated and have been chugging back water since last week. What gives?

I tried drinking a suggested 2 liters of water each day and I couldn't do it. I'm not terribly convinced drinking tons of water a day is that beneficial. If it seems like too much, don't do it. If you scale back and your urine is clear, you're doing your job.

Just drink to thirst. Do not force a certain amount of water.

What "pills" are you taking? Do you know there is a long list of medications that hinder weight loss/cause gain? NSAIDs in particular, cause fluid retention. Since you ride... any of those pain relievers?

Should I stop taking my prescription for a week and see if I de-bloat and lose the water weight? My infection is not nearly as bad and I have topic cream to apply to it as well.

You would have to ask your doctor that, but normally one should complete the full course of antibiotics. It is more the NSAIDs that are associated with water weight gain. I do not know by what pathway antibiotics are on this list. You also put 6 cans of salt and chemicals in your body yesterday, consider instead some regular or green tea with caffiene which is mildly diuretic.

Diuretic meaning it causes you to pee.

Not to be confused with diarrheatic,
