I must say I feel the same way, anytime we would go out I would feel "cheated" when thinking about choosing the healthy options. I would go for the Meat and Potaoes
Nowdays, I go for the Meat and Steamed Veggies, I don't even want the Bread, Hubby in the beginning would say one time wont hurt you, why don't you, Why don't you order the fries and Blah blah blah... Now he knows better. Usually when I get a really big craving for something sweet when we go out to eat, I ask all three of my Boys (2 sons and Hubby) if they would share it with me and I take usually 1-2 bites and let them have the rest, that usually more than satisfies my cravings, but they are not very often. Bread for me, no matter if Whole Grain or not, is still a big trigger and will cause me to not lose or even gain. So for the last 3 days I have completely stopped all grains and I lost 2lbs! Goes to show we have to sit there and find our happy medium. Thanks to Judy I now realize that the Grains aggravate me and I leave them off. It is still hard and I cave in every once in a while, but I am getting better at it.
