Default Weirdness at Burger King

I end up eating 2 double cheeseburges w/o buns or ketchup at least once a week. I have been noticing that maybe because I don't get the ketchup, the person adding the condiments seems to think I need tons of mustard. Then today I get a triple cheeseburger?? same tons of mustard and an extra patty too. I told a friend and she said yesterday she got the extra patty too. I have been doing this cycle of fast food burgers, first I liked micky d's better for a month, then wendy's, now bk. It is strange how they are all just beef patties and they are all different. I didn't notice the differences so much when I ate the buns and ketchup.

Best L/C burgers are at Hardee's/Carl's Jr. Their monster burger is served with bacon, cheese and mayo.

McDonald's double quarterbounder with cheese is salty.

BK's burgers, to me, just don't taste good.

And Wendy's... not bad.

I like ordering a pair of burgers to go in a rush with cheese, mayo, pickles and onions. Yum.

I grabbed four double cheeseburgers at BK the other day also, but forgot to tell them to put the cheese in between the meats grrrr so the bun was stuck to the cheese and to the meat. I had to pry it off!!!

I don't care for BK either, but the double cheeseburgers are 99 cents right now, cheaper than McD's at $1.49. and I didn't have any food at home that day and too hungry to go shopping, so BK it was. Next time, though, have to remember about the cheese.
(then my daughter, later that evening, said, "Do you realize you ate a pound of hamburger?" -- but I hadnt had lunch that day except for a piece of cheese, so I guess that's ok )

I love the burgers! I order the double ones as well. What i have found, and works well for me, I order them plain without anything. I then stock up on mustard packets that I can use then, and some for later! I've also been known to put away 2 or 3 db cheeseburgers as well.

I find at sit down resteruants if I order a bunless burger they quite often leave everything off. No lettuce or tomatoes or onions or anything. Weird

I love flamebroil-ness of bk....not so big of a fan of McD's b/c I have a seriously hard time resisting the fries.

It's true how different ff chains do different burgers. I particularly like Lick's (not sure if it's a Canadian thing), with their guk (a mayonnaise sauce with herbs), cheese and Canadian bacon...loaded up with all their toppings. God, so good.

I do really enjoy the wendy's grilled chicken with extra mayo, onions, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and dill pickles. Weird, I know! I have actually been asked if I was preggo when ordering this, LOL.

I know we're looking for higher fat proteins, but the crispy chicken is always coated in flour...so I leave it alone.

My neighborhood McDonalds serves a mean double quarter pounder with cheese. They serve it in a bowl without a bun and I order it with mayo. I usually get two. Very filling L/C meal... Hardee's monster burger is still best, though!

I need to try one of those, I used to go to hardees for their chicken biscuit. I actually never tried the burgers. When I get burnt out on bks, I will check it out. It is funny how a couple of months ago I ate at McDs alot and now I can't even look at a double cheeseburger from there. It is some wacky cycle I am going through. I keep the Heinz low carb ketchup in the car at all times.

This just an FYI that I learned recently...you can order a double quarter pounder at McD's and pay full price to remove the bun yourself or you can order the patties individually and pay $1 each. I wasn't aware of this before and thought I would share.

This is also true at Sonic Drive In (my favorite burger place).

If you're in Canada, A&W will do this for you too. Price used to be $1.00 for the patty, and $0.40 for the extra veggies and an additional $0.40 for the cheese ...that could have changed, though. The patties are 1/4 pound, mind you...so this is quite cheaper than the burgers ~ around 4 bucks CDN...even if you get three!

The regular burgers only have 1 patty!!!!

I'll generally just get a Double Teen Burger & toss the bun. The A&W that we go to (when we're eating out) usually puts the cheese on top of the top patty, rather than between the patties. This allows me to treat the patties like they were buns, with all the veggies, etc, between them. Imagine my unhappiness when I went to doctor my tasty burger at an unfamiliar mall one day & found the patties glued together with cheese!
