Question Whipping Cream plus...

I have noticed recently that the cream (from Costco) I have been using is not just cream. It also has carregeenan, momo-and diglyerides, polysorbate 80. I also checked out the cream at Safeway and theirs is about the same.

Are these additional additives a problem for low-carbing?

If you mean do they contain carbohydrates, the answer is no.

I went off on a search to find out what these things really were. Very interesting!

Polysorbate 80 Whole Foods Market : Health Info : Ingredients : Polysorbate ...

And it is also used as a cleanser in commercial hair products - Follicle.com - Polysorbate 80 & Polysorbate 60

Mono and diglycerides

Carageenan or Irish moss is a seaweed used as a thickener.

Default whipping cream yum

I eat a "dollop" almost every night with diet jello,,,still losing and not missing all the other sweet treats because of this.

Some say its not a good practice but it works for me and that counts in my books
