Talking Finally over the hump....yay!!!

I lost 11lbs at an alarming rate but then for a week stalled and was losing gaining the same pound for over a week and was getting insanely discouraged. Well this morning got on the scale and lost 2 1/2 lbs.....horrayyyy...newfound encouragement. Now that I've gotten used to eating this way I've Incorporated more exercise and seems to be knocking down the scale....I'm an addict for the scale so if I don't see improvement I get upset. Anyway just wanted to give some encouragement to anyone who is going through this

As long as you recognize the effect, and vent here, you'll be all right. Some people never get past the scale as the main measure of success. They quit long before the real success gets going.

Best wishes.

Thanks for the encouragement. The same happened to me last week - but I'm determined to keep going.
I have had great success with Atkins in the past but ran into trouble a couple of years ago when I had to go on some fairly heavy duty medication.

Now I'm back - new to the forum and with a brand new attitude!

PS - I love this forum, you guys are wonderful
