Default pill and low carb

Hi I have a question Has anyone had experience with birth control pills and LCarbing? positive negative. I have recently started ALESSE and started LC on the week I was off pill and lost 6 lbs with cheating. On the pill this week and not moving with the weight

any advice? I wondered too if there am or pm was a better time to take it inregards to water retention etc.?

I started the pill at the same time I started low carbing also. Now I still always lost weight, yet Atkins says something in his book about women on the pill may need to keep their daily amount of carbs lower. So I paid attention to that, no cheating going on either. I'm off the pill now because I was always bleeding and I know it had something to do with the diet. I never had problems before on the pill. Hope that helps!

I went off the pill as well. It seemed like I wasn't losing anything while I was on the pill but did the same things while I was off of it. I do the patch now and it seems to be working out better for me.

I agree that if you are on the pill might want to lower the carbs, or just find an alternative; such as the patch.

I'm on 'Mercilon' (low-dose contraceptive pill) and I re-started Atkins last week. I haven't been too strict with myself because I tend to get obsessive about things, so I've actually been consuming caffeine and had 3 low-carb bars this week.

I'm still losing weight; I've lost about 6 lbs or so. I wonder if I would have lost more if I'd been off the pill..? Oh well. It's still working, and I'm happy with it. It depends on the person I suppose. Good luck with your diet!

I too was on the pill and I also started Atkins and the pill at same time. I have just stopped taking the pill to see if it makes a difference ( I was only on it for one month, Ill go back to old method). Ill see if I lose weight faster.

Glorybe...

I am also on Alesse and have had no problems with Losing weight. I think one of the good things about Alese is that it is a lower estrogen pill.

Good Luck
