Hi, you all sound great.
Has anyone tried the Atkins Strawberry shake?
Is it allowed during induction?
Thanks for your help.

yes, it's pretty good. and yes, it's allowed on induction. if you go to atkinscenter.com they have a shopping section with all the Atkins products (and some others) and each product has little colored sqaures next to it which say 1,2,3, or 4...these numbers stand for the phases of Atkins that the product is good for ("1" being the induction phase). The shakes have a 1,2,3 and 4 next to them, so they're ok for every phase. hope that helps. by the way, the Atkins powdered shake mix tastes nothing like the Atkins ready-to-drink shakes in the cans...try both.

Just a small hint... don't mix according to directions. I thought it made an awful gloppy mess...too thick and virtually tasteless.

What I did was mix only 1 scoop of the powder with 8 oz water, add 2 ice cubes, 1 pack of Splenda sweetener, 2 Tablespoons of heavy cream. Shake well or frappe in blender.

Tastes a whole lot better

Hi all,
I just went to Atkinscenter.com, thanks for the advice. One thing though, while it was interesting to note Atkins Endulge bars are not listed for phase 1 (as I suspected they shouldn't be) they did list the protein cruch plain cereal as a phase 1 food. Then, when you read the info it says this is for people who are NOT in a strict phase of a lc plan. UUUGGGHHH! I can't win. When I think its ok b/c it's only 2 grams (endulge Bars) then I find out its not and it takes me out of ketosis. I think I better just stay away from ALL these products during phase 1 just to be safe. Anyone else frustrated with this stuff?

EVERYBODY else is frustrated with this stuff

Hey, if it isn't listed on the food lists for Phase 1 (Induction), it's not okay for Phase 1. Keep It Simple.
