Default It took 7 days, but I'm back in ketosis

Okay, so one mega splurge (you remember the 4 pieces of pie I ate on X-mas) and I gained 5 lbs. Well, was that ever frustrating. Then, try as I may, I would see the teeniest drop only, blah, blah, blah...complain I did.

Then the PMS hit and the water retention, and the need to bite off someone's head. But I survived. Took a chocolate protein LC bar and 3 glasses of wine, but all three of my kids are still alive.

Seven full days and those little sticks finally are pink again. I thought I had a defective bottle there.

I feel so much better now. It's nice to know that I'm not going crazy, that I can do lo-carb, but that I can't cheat.

So, my advice to all the new lo-carbers out there, do your best NOT to cheat, it's not worth it. That pie wasn't worth it, it was a binge, I don't even remember tasting it.

Good luck on your lo-carb journey

It seemed to take me much longer to turn those little sticks purple after Christmas!!!

But I made it, and lost the 3 pounds I had put on...

Was not worth the cheats I had!! So stayed LC for New Years, and glad I did..

Everyone have a Great Day!!!

Gosh, I'm glad I'm not alone. Binged for 4 days straight. When out of town for X-mas and my favorite aunt cooked all of my favorite foods. Even after I warned her not to. It took me 3 days to get back in ketosis. I also dropped 3 out of the 4 lbs I gained.

Boy, do I know cheating is not worth it. I think I lost sleep, had extensive heartburn and felt like a bloated pig for the entire time of the binge. That's no joke!! Carbs are like a drug!!

Thank God I'm back on track!!

Good Luck guys and I appreciate all of you.

Default I dropped some

I'm down a bit again today, but still 1 pound heavier than I was on Xmas morning.

I'm like you Shannon, haven't really lost any weight now in 2 weeks because of it.

But it's a new day, week, month, and year...and that's all in the past now.

Annette...you've inspired me to go buy some Ketostix...

I have never really had an success with being in ketosis...and you know the recent events that made me completely lose my appetite...well, now that I'm losing big time, I want to know if I'm in or not...

Will check back and let you know. I think it was all about portions for me...thank goodness I stayed on track even though I wasn't losing all that time...I could have gained another 50 lbs!!

Happ New Year!
