Default Master of my Domain.. part Deaux

Hi Everyone.. this is the same fun thread we started over 5000 posts ago (LOL.. over 9000 actually.. WOOHOO).

If you're new to this challenge.. read below and come join us for support and FUN as we learn to take control BACK from food!!

Mike

For those that have been part of the challenge... I'm FINALLY updating the rules!! WOOHOO!

For those interested in starting the challenge...

It's turned out to be a wonderful, supportive group of people in this challenge. We were originally going to end Labor day (Sept) 05, but by popular demand... the challenge continues.. possibly for LIFE.. WOOHOO.

This is modeled after the famous Seinfold episode about being "Master of your domain" (well....except this is about EATING CHEAT FREE).

Here are the rules.....

1. Every day you are cheat free you are "Master of your Domain" and you get to increase your counter by a day.
2. If you cheat you have to start over and reset your counter (and we've ALL done this.. lol)

Here is part of the 'secret sauce'..... you can cheat WHENEVER YOU WANT!!!! .....and here is the catch.... you have to PLAN it!

3. A "planned" cheat day does not make you start over (birthday, cruise, vacation, etc.) PROVIDED you call out your cheat day in advance. i.e. I'm going on a cruise from the 31st through August 7th...
In general... you should plan your cheat as far in advance as possible, but a day in advance is fine. The general idea is to take back control from the food!!! If my cravings are REALLY bad.. I'll just declare a cheat 2 days from now and tell myself.. HEY dude, you want those foods?? GO for it.. just wait a couple days. It has helped me NOT stuff myself a couple of times already!!

If you're on a planned cheat, you don't reset your counter, but neither do you advance it. If I'm 7 days cheat free going into vacation, I'm 7 days when I get back from my vacation.
4. Come in and post your days cheat free.. give each other support (by name preferably)

YOU determine what a cheat is (but be fair or you'll only "cheat" yourself). People are on different plans and some are in induction and others are in maintenance... but there is ONE person who knows when you're on plan...and off, and that is YOU.

If you want to be part of this challenge.. copy and paste the following into your first post.... and join this crazy group!!!

I AM the master of my domain!

Good luck everyone!!

Mike

ps... we've learned some important things..
How important having friends with similar challenges is...

How the fact that "carbs happen" is NOT the end of the world... but that not picking ourselves back up and getting back in the game right away is what ruins us.

That all we need for success is to get back up just ONE more time than we fall.

Below is the original posting of the challenge...

Here are the rules.....

1. The challenge last THROUGH labor day
2. Count the number of days in a row you are "cheat free"
If you cheat you have to start over.
A "planned" cheat day does not make you start over (birthday.. cruise.. etc.) PROVIDED you call out your cheat day AT LEAST a week in advance. i.e. I'm going on a cruise from the 31st through August 7th
3. As long as you are "cheat free" you are master of your domain
4. Come in and post your days cheat free.. give each other support
5. If you lose it (hey.. carbs happen), you must restart your count
6. The top 5 people whose cheat free count's are the highest after labor day are "officially" the winners of the "master of your domain challenge"

If you want to be part of this challenge.. copy and paste the following into your first post.

I AM the master of my domain!

Good luck everyone!!

You can do it in the microwave. Mine has a setting for defrost, but it basically is low power.

And I'm feeling quite frustrated. I'm still playing with the Onederland border. Maybe I'll cut some calories again, or try to sneak in a walk. This next week is hectic though..

RuthLamb & Erin, I'm glad the magnesium is working for you too!

Good morning all!!!

Yes we also had great weather here in the midwest. We had our scout camporee cancelled due to lots of rain and wind. We stayed and cooked supper then we went home.

I am in class all week, with the lunches provided for us. This is the final week of this class. Week one - I was very cook at avoiding HC foods. Week 2 - I caved. This week, I'm gonna try to be real good. (but calling cheats - just in case)

Have a great week!!!

Dear Gang o Mine,

Welcome NEWBIES, Myelle and PortCop. This is THE BEST THREAD EVER...with the smartest, funniest, silliest and nicest people I have ever met online (or anywhere else for that matter.)

I am MOMD Day #4. Still hanging tough with egg-meat-fish mostly and some green veggies (salad, celery). When I HAVE to have a treat, I have a s.f. jello with 1 T. of lite Cool Whip for 1 gram of carbs. That's a bargain!

Today, someone told me a I look THINNER. I think that's true. I feel well and think the scale may show a little woosh tomorrow for my "official weigh in" (Tuesday mornings).

Lisabuns - Kiss OLLIE for me.

Erim - full speed ahead, girlfriend. Sending xxx

2B Thinner - I am a MAGNESIUM prophetess; gave DD some last night. This has transformed my life (no kidding). And do I ever SLEEP. WOW WOW WOW...wouldn't it be amazing if my LDLs finally go down as well (the OTHEr side effect mentioned in the USDA bulletin). Woo hoo hoo.

Athena -- WHERE are u?? What are you up to?

HoneyRose-- HOW are u?

Profssor Gumby, DanG, Rad, DoGButterBoy -- where are my buttery fellas??

Later gang!
Ruth

Default Induction Time

Had pizza for dinner last night..{No Cheat/Toppings Only}

The problem was I didn't know what the Norm amount would be?!?

I had toppings from 5 pizzas bc I could not get a "satisfied/full feeling."

Don't know why I didn't make a DERN SALAD!?

Dern Pizza Toppings!

UP to 178.0 {2 lbs}

I won't change my stats until tomorrow..I hope to see a difference in the morning.. No matter what, I'll change stats then.

Dern It! Dern It!

Glad today is Induction Day 1

I completed the book and that's why I'm doing it again..I want to make sure I go by the book.

I can't stand the fact I have to now work off 2 lbs. that should not have been there! Crap!

Live & Learn..

~~~~~
Today is the Cook-A-Long! So excited!
If you want to join us, it's not too late..You will find the Recipe Cook-A-Long Challenge in this section! The recipe can be made at any time today!
