Default Sad but true!

Well I did't think I would be doing this so early on in my new membership to this forum. I have been stuck at 199 for the last two weeks. I was reading last night about the things that stall you. Well today I guess I was just feeling frustrated and overdid the ice cream. One of the members had stated that she keeps only ice cream around that she does not really love so she won't overdo. Guess I need to take that advice to heart. Also was reading, while reviewing all the plans, that one thing that could help a stall is a fat fast. Was unable to access the link for that info- so would appreciate knowing just what that is. Thanks for listening Grayce

Stalls do happen so don't get frustrated. Stick with it and you should see some results.
Fat fast is listed in the Atkins book...if you don't have it you should definately pick it up. It explains everything that goes on in your body, while low carbing.

in brief...you eat 1000 calories a day consisting mostly of fat.
pick 5 of these choices for 4 to 5 days

1 oz macadamia nuts or mac. nut butter
2 oz cream chesse or brie
1oz tuna, or chicken salad with 2 tsp of mayo served in a 1/4 avacado
2 deviled eggs made with 2 tsp mayo
2 oz sour cream and 2 tbls black or red caviar
2.5 oz whipped heavy cream with sucralose zero cal. syrup
2 oz pate
2 egg yolks with a tbls mayo

It sounds hard but I have done it in the past...after your done with this for a few days you move onto the 2nd phase of the fast.

Contact me if you don't have the book for the rest.

As always make sure you get lots of water in.

Good luck

Thanks for the fat fast post. I used to have the book but in the days when I thought I would not low carb again, I gave it away so I would appreciate receiving phase two. Went to the link you gave on your post but was not sure how to contact you that way. Many thanks! - Grayce

Grayce- No problem at all...here is the 2nd half

Your bumping up your calories to 1200. Choose 4 of these for the day.

2 oz beef chuck-do not drain fat-cooked in 2tbsl olive oil
2 scrambled eggs with 2 strips bacon
2 tbsp of full fat sour cream with a tbls of sugar free syrup
1/4 cup chicken, or tuna salad made with 2 tbls mayo
3 oz pate
1 1/2 ounces macadamia nuts.

Do this for a week, then start induction over.

I have done this in the past. I have lost as much as 8 lbs in a week. However, when I went back to induction I did gain a pound or two back.

Good luck let me know how it goes.
