Default Ladies: LC changing my cycles?

I'm going to make an appointment, since I am well past due for an exam.

But I had my TOM (such as I get; had a supra-cervical hysto a few years back) two weeks ago, and now I'm having it again. All symptoms; tenderness, moodiness, spotting.

I've lost 20 pounds since March, and at glaring distance of my 42nd birthday I know things can be cattywumpus due to age.

But two weeks? That's a bit hard to take, really.

Can LC be messing with my cycles to that extent?

I, and many women on this board, have had the same issues when first starting back. It's annoying but should right itself in time.

There are all sorts of hormones stored in fat tissue and, as we release them from our cells, they can cause a temporary imbalance in our systems.

I had a couple months of out of wack cycles and am now back to every 28-30 days.

A check-up is a great idea but I wouldn't worry too much about it...annoying but a good thing as the fat is vacating from our bods..the price we pay, I guess..

I have an experience that I haven't read about yet....I am 3 yrs post meneposal....nothing, nada for 3 years...last week I started to have tender breasts....hummmm that reminded me of something....what was it???? Last Friday...I started spotting...hummmm that seems strange! Saturday I woke up with full on cramps and bleeding! What the hay????? I have been menstrating, full on since Saturday. IF it doesn't end soon I am making a doctors appt. This is crap! I was through with this! Low carbing can be dangerous! IT can make your body think it is 20 years old again! Dang, high fat diet!

I have always said they should advertise lowcarbing as being the "fountain of youth" diet!!

I had a similar experience, only I was about 2 years past having any periods and had (I think) 2 very light "episodes" about 6 months into induction. They were a couple of months apart and then stopped and I had no more for the last 6 years.

Yep, yep, yep. There are some other long threads around here.

Rather than hitting me at the beginning of weight loss, it's getting me as I approach goal.
