I got this one from "A Week in the Zonew" book Its a great recipe to get you start making your own 3 block Zone meals. I used this recipe to start and thats what got me to decide to follow the Zone WOE I got a 4 hour surge of energy that just amazed me. I said this is the way to eat wether I lose weight or not. I feel great Ok heres the recipe Also its a great summer fruit salad and no cook meal!

Cottage Cheese Fruit Salad

3/4 c lowfat Cottage Cheese
1 c pineapple from can (rinse)
1/3 c Mandarin oranges (rinse)
3 macadamia nuts (crushed)
2 equals

Place cottage cheese in bowl, fold fruit and nuts in. Add the equal.
3 Block Meal
PS I like sweet so I add either splenda or equal to the mix

Question hmm... Need more help Please

I looked at top menue but the recipes do not look like Zone Recipes more like low carb recipes. I thought Zone Diet recipes had to be complete Block (1P 1C 1F ) in their substance. If someone could either share some of their favorites or lead me to a site (other than the most known like Zone Perfect, KarensKitchen etc) some that are your favorites. Thanks so much in advance Ladybugplus

Lightbulb FRENCH TOAST

French Toast- 3 Blocks

308 Calories/ 9 grams Fiber

3 Egg Whites
3 **Slices Whole grain bread- 3 carbs
1 *Morning Star Sausage patty (or)
2 Morning Star Sausage Links
1 1/4 tsp Flax
1/4 cup Keto Maple Syrup

Beat egg whites w/ cinnemon, nutmeg and Vanilla extract. Preheat a pan and spray w/ Butter Flavored Pam. Cook french toast and sausage at the same time to save time in the morning. On the side mix syrup and flax. When toast and sausage is done cut up w/ ***scissors, spray w/ I Can't Believe it's not Butter spray and top w/ Keto and Flax syrup. YUMMY!

If you make this for the family, they will never know the difference.

*Depending what your grocery store carries. Where I live one grocery sells the links, the other sells the patties. Both are yummy.
**I use Arnold's Light 7 grain bread.
***I LOVE SCISSORS, Knives take too long and dirty up the counter space. Just hold the toast on a fork and cut. I use scissors to cut everything in the kitchen. Steak, chicken, you name it I cut it. Try it, it's so much easier and less messy!

Lightbulb another recipe to share...

260 grams of Strawberries or 2 cups (2C)
110 grams of Cottage Cheese or 1/2 cup (2P)
*12 Whole Almonds (2F) or you can used "slivered" for better results
1/4 or more Tsp Cherry Flavored Jello Powder
1 TB Low Fat Cool Whip
1/2 packet of Equal

Cut up strawb. in a bowl and sprinkle w/ equal.
In a seperate bowl, mix cottage w/ the jello and 1 tsp water.
Then, add 1 TB Cool Whip to the mixture and blend well.
Top strawb. w/ cottage and top that w/ crushed whole and/or slivered almonds.

This is so good if you freeze the cottage mixture first in the freezer for a few minutes

*remember that 3 almonds equal one fat block. One fat block equals 1.5 grams of fat. Since my cottage cheese does not have fat I need more almonds w/ this recipe.
