Question just starting out in exercising

Hi Guys,

well this is week two ot PP and I love it so far, however I have had to motivate my butt to get moving. SO..............

this morning I started to exercise. I used to do along time ago do a routine by Susan Powter. Cant remembeer the name but I loved it. With my asthma and coming from absolutely unhealthy lungs it worked great for me then.

Well I am in the same boat. Lungs are shot but I know with hard work I can build them up again.

the work out goes like this
a 5-10 min warm up(never really counted)
then alternating between 5 minutes of cardio and then 1 minute resistence 5 min cardi then 1 min resistence. all in all I think you do 6 reps of each. then cool down with abs and stretching at end.

Of course me being a beginner for the umpteenth time I could only manage 20 minutes max of all. I dont have her tape anymore so I went from my head but what would you think of this kinda of workout for low carbers. I dont follow her way at all because LOW CARB is for me just her work out is good.

I also got my butt up this morning 30 minutes early so I could start something before food an Kids woke.

Let me know your input...

thanks

Default Up early

Getting up early in the morning has many benefits.

1. Early morning cardio on an empty stomach is the best way to do it. Also dont eat for 1 hour afterwards. {There is a long thread on this here}

2. You will usually be more able to stick with a routine if you do it first thing in the morning rather than at night.

Good luck and enjoy yourself.
