Why or Why must they Add SUGAR!
to so many things that normally should NOT have sugar...
Like Planters Dry Roasted Sunflower seeds! I bought these in place of my usual store brand seeds because they were on sale at Walmart and after bringing them home I noticed one of the "ingredients" As SUGAR! Now come on....sunflower seeds are naturally sweet..why add sugar! Grrr.
One of the reasons is that when you remove fat, you remove a lot of flavor - so foods that are lower in fat genrally have added sugar and/or salt to make up for it!
There's sugar in my Garlic & Parsley Salt. Garlic is a flavor enhancer in and of itself...Why would you need to add sugar. Worst of all, Sugar is higher on the list than parsley:
Salt, Garlic Powder, Sugar, Parsley
They oughta call it Garlic and Sugar Salt...since there's more sugar than Parsley.
Yeah, my favorite "spicy pepper blend", when I looked at the nutrition and ingredients, has SUGAR as one of the main ingredients. I couldn't believe it. In pepper! I figure, that does it. If you can put sugar in pepper, there's nothing you can't put it in.
