Here's an early Christmas wish that you succeed in finding what works for you, Mr. E! Hopefully, by December 25th, Santa will be bringing you some new, smaller pants and belts again this year.

Hi Mister E - Being one of those who lost a lot, once (I guess that's the good news, I only lost 116 pounds once and gained 101 back, once...) What touched me about your post is the part about how you can do anything for awhile. Haven't we all gotten into a groove and wondered how we ever managed to gain the weight because doing the right thing wasn't really that hard - eating right, good food, etc.. I still don't know what changes but I am being damn careful now as I feel just the edge of getting careless creeping in. I like your christmas present idea. I have thought about it, just not in those terms - thinking wouldn't it be nice if I can lose that pound a week average between now and Christmas. I am actually thinking I want to exercise and remember that I did love how it felt so am taking the plunge. So maybe I can do it - maybe 20 pounds - that would put me at 55 pounds lost in a year - not too bad. But equally as important I guess would be not gaining anything for the rest of the year so even if you don't get the loss you hope for, with those of us in TDC I'm thinking not gaining would be a pretty good gift too.

Thanks for your generous gift of yourself on this board. I don't post a ton, but I do read a lot!

Mary
