Default 2nd time LC this time a WOL

Hi :wave

This is my first post but like my DH Steven aka MNBooger I to have been lurking for a while. This is our 2nd time LCing. When we went on it the first time in 1999 (my DH says 1998 sorry sweetheart you were wrong ), I started at 200 and went down to 140 where I have more or less stayed. About 3 months before we started I found out I have hypothryoidism and was put on meds which will be for the rest of my life. Hypothryoidism runs in my family. I attribute my condition to my weight gain. So when my DH's brother told us about DANDR we went on it as a diet. After about 6 months we went back to our old way of eating. Even though I didn't gain any weight back my DH did and much more. Steven had talked about starting to LC again many times over the last year or so and even made a couple failed attempts to start. But when he reached 302 he said it was time to get serious. So on 2/17/03 we starting LCing again. I started LCing again to support him. I really wasn't too concerned about losing much weight. When we started I was at 142 and now I'm at 128. More importantly I have lost inches. Last week I finally went out shopping for new work clothes. My pants were getting pretty baggy and felt terrible. To my great surprise and pleasure I went from a size 12 to a size 6. Even though my DH has a ways to go and I will be going into maintenance soon we are committed to LCing as a WOL. This forum has been an enormous help from all the success stories to all the new ideas for different foods to eat. Thanks to everyone for you inspiration and different ideas
