Default Day 9 of Protein Power

Hi All,

I've been hanging around this forum since the first day I started lcing, and figured it was about time I checked out the folder for the plan I am doing :-)

Before I began, I checked out some low carb books at my local library so I could get a good feel of which one was best for me....Atkins, The Zone, and The 30 day Low Carb Diet Solution, which is by the same authors of Protein Power.

30 Day LCDS was the book that made the most sense and what I was most comfortable doing. It basically sets you on a 30 day PP plan by telling you what to eat and the reasoning behind it, without all the tech stuff, enabling someone to get started more quickly. I didn't feel comfortable at all with Atkins, felt the "induction" part of the plan seemed too harsh on the body for me. Zone seemed more like a maintenance.

I'm definitely ready for more reading -- I have the PP, PPPFL, and the Comfort Food Cookbook ordered and on its way.

I look forward to hanging around here :-).

Hi there, and welcome! Isn't Protein Power great? I sure agree with you that the Eades spell out everything so simply. On the other hand, I really like the Atkins plan, too, especially the Induction because it's so strict. I find it focuses you like no other plan.

But, to each his/her own!

If you check out the sticky at the top of this forum and read through it, you'll find a few posts that might help. Somewhere in there I posted a Word file of a daily worksheet you can use to track your food. When I originally did PP, I didn't use Fitday, just this worksheet. I love Fitday, but it can make you darned obsessive with numbers!

I'm sure you'll enjoy PP and PPLP. I re-read them from time to time, just to remember WHY this way of eating is so good for me.

We have a daily thread called the Java Room. It's just a bunch of us who do PP (or variations thereof) who chat about food, family, etc. Please feel free to drop in and have a cuppa!
