Angry "Low Carb Bible" >:(

I was at Costco yesterday and they had a book called "The low carb bible", DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!! I thought it looked so cool and it was only $9.99 but when I looked after I got home, none of the recipes were really low carb at all and it was obvious that manufacturers payed to get their ingredients listed. Most of the recipes were 11-15g carbs per serving and had ingredients like "white flour", "sugar", etc. Oh, my favorite recipe had 3 ingredients- Chocolate cookies, fat free caramel, and marshmallows. Give me a break, what about that is low carb?

Not only that but the explanations of the benefits of low carbing are not discussed in the most optimistic light.

I bought it last week because I thought it looks good and it had a lot of pictures. What was I thinking? This book looks a lot like one of the regular brand name recipe books where the ingredients have brand names like instead of ketchup, it's Heinz ketchup. Like it makes a difference whether a ketchup is Kraft or Heinz. This book is going back!

This is the same stunt pulled by Mastercook, low carb. They all hate low carbing, (the fad), but they don't mind trying to make a buck off it.

I saw that book and enjoyed the section where they talked about the differences for LC lifestyle. I agree that most of the recipe's where crap, but a few were good. I wouldn't buy the book for them though! I was hoping to buy it, photocopy a few of the marinade's and then return it.
