lol see the seagirls are here to welcome you.

To start a journal scroll down on the main page and start a new thread in the B's section. It will give you a little journal link at the bottom of each post you make for all of us to follow you and post to you, and support you, and flirt with you and ummmmmm....ok got lost after the flirt thing......

It will also give you a quick link to your own journal at the top of every page you are at.

Hope that helps. The seagirls will be watchin' you

Thanks time2shine, nursey & TX Stacy!

After a quick look around and realizing that there wasn't a "Magic" journaling button, I found the journalling section and started my own!!

I'll be travelling the next couple of days, but you can bet I'll keep you all posted from the road! (I'll have Internet access wherever I go)

I look forward to being cheered up, cheered on, and generally looked after by the Seagirls and others!

I guess I'm gonna need to post some pics soon as well, huh?

Big,

I have had some of my best losses while traveling. If you can order room service, there is most likely a bacon cheeseburger and side salad or steak and caesar. I have a two egg omelet at the hotel for breakfast before I start the meetings.

For catered lunches, if they bring in sandwhiches I pick up the meat and cheese (this means I need two sandwhiches), for pizza pick the topping off...the best lunches for me are the fajitas (I'm from Texas, ok) where I have fajitas strips with sour cream, cheese, a little guacamole and salsa. Most people end up envious and start asking about Atkins (as they stuff that cookie into their mouth). The best bet is to see if you can ask someone what they are bringing in and see if he/she minds ordering you a salad or whatever (if you feel comfortable). I have started viewing this as if I'm a person from a different culture who is a strict vegetarian. Usually people want to accommodate everyone's dietary needs. So, I'd ask...especially if you can pick up on who is the Admin Assist, which is probably the person coordinating the meals anyway.

Slim Jims travel well. Pork rinds can be found in many airport shops.

Good luck on your trip!
Dana

Hi BIG just wanted to chime in with everyone else and say Hello! Seems like they pretty much have you covered in the snack area. I, like you travel just about every week and have the same problem. When I am at a hotel, lunch and dinner I just grab for the chicken, veggies and salads. If your not sure about something like the dressing oil and vinegar will always do.
There are really no protein bars allowed while on induction, most contain sugar and they are a YMMV (your mileage may very) type of thing. Most will stall you, just like the shakes. I do protein shakes in my room in the morning cause you just have to grab a spring water and add the powder in the cup with it. I always take water with me wherever I go just to keep me full so I don't get the grabbies when something is placed in front of me and I am starving and I'm not suppose to have it.

Good Luck and yes please start a journal!
