Searched for who wrote this...it didn't sound like Dr Mark Hyman though Flexatarian could be his "Pegan" ...maybe. And DASH is #1 because it comes out in studies as #1?...not.

It was written by two RNs/CDEs from their Diabetes Clinic not the Center for Functional Medicine.

The Diabetes center at Duke, a section of the Endocrinology Dept., is also another world away from Lifestyle Clinic.Their CDEs support an ADA diet, linked right on main page, offer weight loss surgery, insulin and oral med therapy....While LC is hidden away in a regional hospital outpatient clinic north of main campus. Six years ago the LC option was hard to find, now, thanks to Google and more public exposure, Duke + Diabetes also leads to Dr Westman.

So many silos in big hospitals ... patients are so confused and ill-served.
