Default Die off symptoms

Hi,

I was diagnosed with candida by my naturopath about six months ago, but I think I've had it for about four years. The main way it affected me was by lowering my immune system to the point where I was picking up a new cold or flu bug once every two-three weeks and was literally sick more often than I was well. Since starting probiotics six months ago my immune system has improved, but I felt that they were only masking the underlying candida and wanted to kill it off entirely so started the diet.

I've been on an anti-candida diet for six weeks now, as well as taking supplements and probiotics as recommended by my naturopath. The thing is, I have not had any die off symptoms, and I'm wondering whether you don't always experience die off, or that maybe I'm doing something wrong with the diet...? The only possible die off symptom that I may have had was an increase in the amount of thrush I have (which I've had constantly for about three years), but that coincided with the time when I introduced small amounts of potato back into my diet so I put it down to that and stopped eating them again.

Has anyone else successfully treated candida without experiencing die-off??

Thanks for helping!
- Melissa
