Lots of great suggestion here, especially to read a book/plan and stick with it. The only thing I can add is to take some body measurements. I've never taken measurement before but this time i did (just waist and hips.) I've been in a weightloss slowdown / stall for over a month but have lost close an inch off each during that time. It really encourages me to keep on with the woe (way of eating) and just have faith and trust that it works.
