I know this is an old post and you probably have all figured out already, but I've been away awhile and thought I say hello to a fellow distance rider.

A couple years ago I was to the point of doing 50-60 mile rides, no/low carbs necessary to sustain me during them. I might take a handful of berries along or maybe some melon, more so for a refreshing break along the way rather than getting any carbs outta them.

How's your riding going? I'm on the long road to working back up to doing distance rides. Unfortunately, I suffered an injury and back slid on low carbing all at the same time. Now a 20 mile day is about all I can do. But I'm getting there.
