Good to hear you got a reprieve on the Lipitor - here's hoping it goes down.
Never heard that about apples - can't see how having it as a sauce would change the carbs. I've read that sweetened stewed courgettes with cinnamon taste very like apple - a lot lower in carbs. Might be worth a try - even to stretch a very small amount of real apple.
