This talk plus the book, The Salt Fix makes the strong argument that too little salt (where heart guidelines are) is worse than too much salt.
The Ketogenic Bible: The Authoritative Guide to Ketosis, Jacob Wilson, Ryan Lowery (2017) also mentions the U curve - increased heart disease risk with very low and very high salt intake, with current guidelines falling in the very low category - which no one achieves. China falls in the very high - due to soy foods (soy sauce) iirc.
