Mon Jul 9 - 1 hour walk around neighborhood - CT
It had just rained - raindrops on the hostas...

One of the churches nearby...

Walking up the walkway to the church thru the graveyard...

Big old doors on the church...

Stained glass...

Pretty deep rose flowers... nicotania? Not sure what they are...

Side entrance...

Huge place...

Cemetery extends around the other side of the church...

There is a healing labyrinth that I walked ...there are meditation suggestions posted for you as you walk...

A Celtic Cross!

Here is the other church (no cemetery) and the town green...

Closer view of the bandstand...

Their plantings in red, white and blue-ish...

Back to the yard along the street... beautiful rose...

And a very cheery sunflower welcomes me back...

Thu Jul 12 - 1 hr walk trying to find the entire harbor loop trail - poorly marked and didn't find the rest of it...confusing... but I had my own tour going
Pretty pink magnolia looking flower...not sure what it is, prob not a Magnolia

The sign for "Harbor Loop Trail" was here at the Town Hall Cemetery so I started there...

Bunny was out and about early...

Bright orange flowers along the walkway...

Big Victorian with a widow's walk...

These were the cutest bright little bottlebrush like flowers in planters...

The view of the harbor/canal coming into town...

And on the other side of the bridge - the canal continues into town...

A quaint antique shop...this is where the loop trail got squirrely... a few signs for it but very unclear...

I choose a street that followed the canal, but up in town... went thru a railyard - no train coming!

An entire fence full of glorious trumpet vines, so many and so healthy!

The sidewalk ran out so I turned and headed toward this church; a crude statuette atop a post precedes it...

I cannot find who it is - researched statues in Norwalk CT... he looks Roman...?

I believe this is a Catholic church...

The entire front garden is filled with prolific coneflowers...

Decorative doors on the church...

And stained glass windows...

I picked up the canal again in a large parking lot I followed as far as I could, then access ended...

Sun shines on the green by the canal... it was time to go back.
