Thanks for posting that article, Meg! It's frustrating to me when I see loved ones complaining about their fitness when they work out once or twice a week or 30 minutes 3 times a week. "Why can't I lose weight?" It just drives me nuts, and no one wants to hear that they have to work out harder!

I do think our bodies are supposed to be used daily. Maybe not strenuously everyday, but some physical activity. Sitting in front of a computer all day as many of us do and driving to work is a far cry from ploughing, churning butter, chopping wood, walking almost everywhere, and other such activities that people used to do regularly. All those things burned calories and supported LBM. I think we often forget how easy our lives have been made by technology, and that most of us have to ADD exercise to be healthy and trim now.
