Weight loss is one of the most dramatic effects of low carb eating but long term maintenance of health is truly the most important long term result of a low carb diet. It is not outwardly dramatic but it is truly the highest good that can be derived from this way of eating. Long live the maintainers! (at least that is what we hope.)
