I also found that I tend to "gain" 5-7 lbs and then "lose" 7-8 of them in a few weeks, so it is kind of a two steps forward, one step back thing. If you really want you could track your weight daily for a few months to see if you can see a cycle. I found it to be very informative, but you have to do it for at least 3-4 months before you start to understand the cycles and flows. I would NOT do it if you think it will discourage you to right the numbers down on those days that it goes up. I didn't do this exercise until I was very comfortable with the way I was eating and was feeling confident with my direction and the SBP. The numbers weren't going to change the way I ate or exercised.
