Advice varies ..some people say no carbs after 5pm but I have read sensible writers who suggest carbs in the evening.

I have found when I am too low carb that I don't sleep well at night. However, a small bowl of oats, small amount of cream/butter. a squirt of agave nectar for instance, is really helpful. It gets me through the night without hunger pangs waking me up at 3am.
