Apples and vinegar both have horrendous effects on my body. Apples give me diarrhea, among other things. Vinegar makes me "drunk" (confused and irritable) for 48 hours. Sauerkraut seems to help, though, which is why that's my major plant food. I use lemon juice occasionally, but it's been less and less lately.
