Default Great idea for those with kids

I have four very picky eater kids, most of whom live on pasta alone. I found right off that if I had to make them a seperate pasta or rice dish while I was making dinner, I wasn't able to really focus on my low carb cooking. Having a big pot of pasta boiling away when I was both hungry and trying to cook was too disruptive.

So! I found a time when I was both full and in a good diet mood and I made a big batch of mac-n-cheese, spagetti with red sauce and spagettie with cream sauce. I let it cool. Then, using large zip-lock sandwich bags, I put a serving in each bag and sealed it up.

Now I always have a few bags in the fridge and some in the freezer. This is a great way for the kids to eat what they want without me having to cook it every night - which eliminates any temptations that might arise and also lets me fully focus on making a tasty low-carb dinner.
