I just tried sardines for the first time last week and I have never tried oysters....to me the sardines smell and taste just a bit more fishy than tuna. My boys disagreed, saying they smelled awful. I had them as patties too, so the other ingredients may have softened the taste. I really liked the patties and can see myself eating them once or twice per week, so I really don't see a necessity in trying them any other way. HTH
