You're correct, V-8 is not technically sugar-free, as it contains naturally occuring sugars from the vegetable ingredients. It would've been more accurate to state that it's free from *added* sugar.
Some brands of mixed vegetable juice do contain added sugar and/or hfcs, so it's important to read the ingredients list as well as the nutrient panel
