I just wanted to add that L Carnitine is used to slow the thyroid in patients with hyPERthyroidism. The only time in the two years during my weightloss (and now I've been maintaining eight years) that I experienced a stall for over 5 weeks is when I read that L Carnitine would be 'good for me and my weightlifting'.
