I used and Dr. Westman recommends the NMR, but the company LipoScience that created the technology is a Raleigh company. CardioIQ was developed by Berkeley Health and Dr. Ron Krauss. Heard an interview with him, he obviously believes it the superior test. (Maybe find that for an explanation?) I don't remember the differences now, at this point may depend on what test you can get. Since DirectLabs switched to Quest for testing, CardioIQ is the only choice unless pay more. But since we had a CAC, no plans to have either one at this point.
EDIT:
Two promo articles from labs why CardioIQ is a better evolution of testing the sub fractions: https://www.sonoraquest.com/uploads...ty_1014_web.pdf

Sorry I can't find the interview remembered (or not..maybe the mind is going )
