Question Lower blood pressure?

I know that not everyone has lower blood pressure when they lose weight -- there are other factors apparently. I read somewhere that it's about 50%.

I have been on 50mg of losartan for many years due to my high blood pressure. Today I took my BP and the systolic number (upper #) was 90 in one arm and 86 in the other -- that's very low for me -- I used to be near 140 pretty regularly.

Is this due to weight loss? I've lost nearly 40 pounds, but I could still use another 60-80 lost, so it's not like I'm anywhere near normal weight.

I'll keep monitoring as it would be awesome if I could get off the BP meds -- I've already dumped the statins.

I have another thread where I couldn't get the nurses to read my BP -- I wonder if this is related to that problem? But then they decided it was 140 over 90 -- but that was an iffy reading.

Just curious what's happening with everybody else and their blood pressure.

PS: I should add that this could just be a "phase," as my body has a bad habit of adapting to whatever I do.
