I just weighed myself. I’m a bit of an obsessive weigher and typically I’ll be down 1.2 to 1.8 pounds in the morning after a 10 pm weigh in. That’ll put me in the 156/157 range and since I won’t be able to post tomorrow I’m calling it now at 157. That puts me down 30 pounds exactly for the year.

Holiday recap:

Completely on plan through Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Christmas was another story. I had told myself I would take off between Christmas and new year’s and allow myself some off plan eating. Christmas Day after dinner, I had 4 squares of a Cadbury bar (~10 carbs) and a slice of cheesecake, no crust (~30 carbs?). I was fine the next day and so decided to indulge in more Cadbury and some cookies for breakfast. This time, I got a headache and some heartburn almost right away. By the afternoon I had recommitted myself to low carb, but was left with a carb hangover that lasted two days.

And so here I am ready to start the new year. I Have a busy week coming up getting the big kids back to college or wherever it is they’re going this semester. Beginning Monday, January 7, I’ll be back in a routine and I plan on kicking the exercise into high gear.
