Perhaps the poster referred to in this thread only intended to report on what worked for her but she did misrepresent low carb eating (it's not high protein). And, as Were Bear points out, there is a context of demonizing, misrepresentation and abuse by the vegan community of the low carb community. This context does not disappear just because the poster does not reference it specifically. I thought that her characterization of the way she was eating (soaking her food in oil) not only misrepresented how low carbers tend to eat, myself included, but was also worded in a way to elicit disgust. I agree that we should be careful about how we speak of one another but it is not surprising that people who eat low carb find this woman's claims hard to believe. Theses claims just do not jibe with the experience of most of the people who frequent this site.
